Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Goma
Upon arriving at Kigali airport, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will transfer you via Gisenyi Rwanda Congo border to Gisenyi town for lunch. In the afternoon, proceed to Goma North of lake Kivu. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking &Community walk
You will have an early morning breakfast and transfer to the headquarters of Virunga National park for briefing before trekking. You will then transfer to the starting point of the trekking trails and with the lead of the armed guide hike into the forest searching for mountain Gorillas. The time to spend trekking will depend on the movement and the location of the trekked gorilla family. In the evening, go for a short visit to the nearby communities and return to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 3: Nyiragongo Hike
Wake up early, have breakfast and go for the famous Nyiragongo hike an active volcano. You will start with a simple briefing and at 10:00 am, you start the hiking with packed lunch and enough drinking water. The hike to the top will take you roughly 5-6 hours depending on your fitness and speed. The summit of volcano will provide you with clear views of the nearby communities while at the summit of the volcano. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 4: Nyiragongo & transfer to Kahuzi Biega national park
After a morning breakfast, descend back from the volcano and transfer to kahuzi biega national park a home to the Eastern lowland gorillas. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 5: Eastern lowland gorilla trekking & departure
Have morning breakfast and go for a simple briefing at the park headquarters. You will then start the hiking into the forest searching trekking for gorillas after which you descend back to lodge. In the afternoon, transfer via Cyangigu border to Kigali for a connecting flight.
